July 13-Normandy

Cycling Normady coast Pointe-du-Hoc Point-deHoc-Normandy-Google Earth  Remains of WWII German fortifications. While the bomb craters are plentiful little damage was done short of a direct hit.  Still it would not be a place to be when they were falling. By D Day however the guns had been withdrawn about half a lkilometer back.
